For this evaluation, I slept on the Saatva Classic…Saatva Vs Sealy Hybrid Mattress …the Loom & Leaf, and the Zenhaven bed mattress for several weeks in my own house. These mattresses were also assessed in our group tests performed for Wirecutter’s guides to the best foam mattresses and the best innerspring mattresses. As Wirecutter’s senior personnel writer for sleep, I’ve talked to scores of specialists in the mattress market and in materials science; visited dozens of mattress stores, factories, and showrooms; and read the fine print on specifications, guarantees, and return policies. Most recently, supervising editor Courtney Schley examined the Saatva Latex Hybrid in her home for a number of weeks.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g10ThFEgbwIUnderstanding Saatva Saatva’s portfolio of beds– many with an option of firmness levels and accommodating almost every convenience preference– includes: Saatva Classic ( innerspring).
Loom & Leaf ( all foam).
Zenhaven ( all latex).
Saatva Latex Hybrid ( latex with coils).
Solaire ( a bed with adjustable air chambers). Saatva Vs Sealy Hybrid Mattress
Saatva HD ( a latex-coil hybrid developed for sleepers who weigh 300 to 500 pounds).
Saatva Youth ( a foam-coil hybrid for kids ages 3 through 12).https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3MBUU1VXosWe have not yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environmentally friendly” brand names. However we do understand that the business utilizes thistle pulp or natural wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to chemicals or fiberglass) and only natural cotton (instead of artificial blends) in its covers. As do other online mattress companies, Saatva promotes such extras as zoned layers for “ideal spinal column support”; we’re less pleased with those features and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer support and resilient foams and coils.
