For this review, I slept on the Saatva Classic…Saatva Vs Allswell …the Loom & Leaf, and the Zenhaven mattresses for several weeks in my own house. These mattresses were likewise evaluated in our group tests performed for Wirecutter’s guides to the best foam mattresses and the best innerspring mattresses. As Wirecutter’s senior staff writer for sleep, I have actually interviewed scores of professionals in the bed mattress market and in materials science; gone to dozens of bed mattress shops, showrooms, and factories; and pored over the fine print on specs, service warranties, and return policies. Most recently, monitoring editor Courtney Schley examined the Saatva Latex Hybrid in her house for a number of weeks.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g10ThFEgbwIMaking sense of Saatva Saatva’s portfolio of beds– numerous with a choice of firmness levels and catering to almost every comfort preference– includes: Saatva Classic ( innerspring).
Loom & Leaf ( all foam).
Zenhaven ( all latex).
Saatva Latex Hybrid ( latex with coils).
Solaire ( a bed with adjustable air chambers). Saatva Vs Allswell
Saatva HD ( a latex-coil hybrid developed for sleepers who weigh 300 to 500 pounds).
Saatva Youth ( a foam-coil hybrid for kids ages 3 through 12).https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3MBUU1VXos
We haven’t yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environment-friendly” brand names. However we do know that the company utilizes thistle pulp or organic wool as a flame retardant (instead of fiberglass or chemicals) and just organic cotton (instead of artificial blends) in its covers. As do other online mattress business, Saatva touts such additionals as zoned layers for “optimal spinal column assistance”; we’re less amazed with those functions and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer care and long lasting foams and coils.
