For this evaluation, I slept on the Saatva Classic…Saatva Mattress Ontario …the Loom & Leaf, and the Zenhaven bed mattress for a number of weeks in my own house. These mattresses were also examined in our group tests conducted for Wirecutter’s guides to the finest foam bed mattress and the best innerspring bed mattress. As Wirecutter’s senior personnel writer for sleep, I have actually talked to scores of experts in the bed mattress market and in materials science; gone to dozens of mattress display rooms, factories, and stores; and pored over the fine print on requirements, service warranties, and return policies. Most just recently, supervising editor Courtney Schley examined the Saatva Latex Hybrid in her home for several weeks.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g10ThFEgbwIMaking sense of Saatva Saatva’s portfolio of beds– lots of with a choice of firmness levels and dealing with nearly every convenience choice– includes: Saatva Classic ( innerspring).
Loom & Leaf ( all foam).
Zenhaven ( all latex).
Saatva Latex Hybrid ( latex with coils).
Solaire ( a bed with adjustable air chambers). Saatva Mattress Ontario
Saatva HD ( a latex-coil hybrid developed for sleepers who weigh 300 to 500 pounds).
Saatva Youth ( a foam-coil hybrid for kids ages 3 through 12).https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3MBUU1VXosWe haven’t yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “eco-friendly” brands. However we do know that the business uses thistle pulp or organic wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to chemicals or fiberglass) and only organic cotton (instead of artificial blends) in its covers. As do other online bed mattress business, Saatva touts such additionals as zoned layers for “optimal spine support”; we’re less satisfied with those features and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer care and long lasting foams and coils.
