For this evaluation, I slept on the Saatva Classic…Saatva Mattress Leaf …the Loom & Leaf, and the Zenhaven mattresses for a number of weeks in my own house. These mattresses were likewise evaluated in our group tests performed for Wirecutter’s guides to the finest foam bed mattress and the finest innerspring bed mattress. As Wirecutter’s senior staff author for sleep, I’ve spoken with ratings of experts in the bed mattress market and in materials science; checked out dozens of bed mattress factories, showrooms, and stores; and read the small print on specs, guarantees, and return policies. Most just recently, monitoring editor Courtney Schley evaluated the Saatva Latex Hybrid in her home for numerous weeks.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g10ThFEgbwIUnderstanding Saatva Saatva’s portfolio of beds– lots of with an option of firmness levels and catering to practically every comfort preference– consists of: Saatva Classic ( innerspring).
Loom & Leaf ( all foam).
Zenhaven ( all latex).
Saatva Latex Hybrid ( latex with coils).
Solaire ( a bed with adjustable air chambers). Saatva Mattress Leaf
Saatva HD ( a latex-coil hybrid designed for sleepers who weigh 300 to 500 pounds).
Saatva Youth ( a foam-coil hybrid for kids ages 3 through 12).https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3MBUU1VXosWe haven’t yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environmentally friendly” brands. We do know that the company utilizes thistle pulp or organic wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to fiberglass or chemicals) and only natural cotton (rather of artificial blends) in its covers. As do other online mattress companies, Saatva touts such additionals as zoned layers for “optimal spinal column assistance”; we’re less impressed with those functions and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer service and long lasting foams and coils.
