For this review, I slept on the Saatva Classic…Review Talgje Ikea …the Loom & Leaf, and the Zenhaven bed mattress for numerous weeks in my own house. These mattresses were also evaluated in our group tests performed for Wirecutter’s guides to the finest foam mattresses and the finest innerspring mattresses. As Wirecutter’s senior personnel writer for sleep, I’ve spoken with ratings of specialists in the bed mattress market and in products science; checked out dozens of mattress showrooms, factories, and shops; and pored over the fine print on specs, guarantees, and return policies. Most recently, monitoring editor Courtney Schley evaluated the Saatva Latex Hybrid in her house for several weeks.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g10ThFEgbwIUnderstanding Saatva Saatva’s portfolio of beds– numerous with a choice of firmness levels and dealing with nearly every convenience choice– consists of: Saatva Classic ( innerspring).
Loom & Leaf ( all foam).
Zenhaven ( all latex).
Saatva Latex Hybrid ( latex with coils).
Solaire ( a bed with adjustable air chambers). Review Talgje Ikea
Saatva HD ( a latex-coil hybrid developed for sleepers who weigh 300 to 500 pounds).
Saatva Youth ( a foam-coil hybrid for kids ages 3 through 12).
We haven’t yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “eco-friendly” brands. We do know that the business uses thistle pulp or organic wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to fiberglass or chemicals) and just organic cotton (rather of artificial blends) in its covers. As do other online bed mattress companies, Saatva touts such additionals as zoned layers for “optimal spine assistance”; we’re less impressed with those functions and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer care and durable foams and coils.
