For this review, I slept on the Saatva Classic…Kingsdown Select Meritage Mattress At Mattress Firm …the Loom & Leaf, and the Zenhaven bed mattress for a number of weeks in my own home. These bed mattress were likewise evaluated in our group tests conducted for Wirecutter’s guides to the best foam mattresses and the finest innerspring mattresses. As Wirecutter’s senior personnel author for sleep, I’ve spoken with ratings of experts in the mattress market and in materials science; gone to lots of mattress factories, shops, and showrooms; and read the fine print on requirements, service warranties, and return policies. Most just recently, monitoring editor Courtney Schley assessed the Saatva Latex Hybrid in her house for several weeks.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g10ThFEgbwIUnderstanding Saatva Saatva’s portfolio of beds– many with an option of firmness levels and accommodating practically every convenience preference– includes: Saatva Classic ( innerspring).
Loom & Leaf ( all foam).
Zenhaven ( all latex).
Saatva Latex Hybrid ( latex with coils).
Solaire ( a bed with adjustable air chambers). Kingsdown Select Meritage Mattress At Mattress Firm
Saatva HD ( a latex-coil hybrid developed for sleepers who weigh 300 to 500 pounds).
Saatva Youth ( a foam-coil hybrid for kids ages 3 through 12).
We haven’t yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environment-friendly” brands. But we do know that the business utilizes thistle pulp or organic wool as a flame retardant (rather than chemicals or fiberglass) and only organic cotton (instead of synthetic blends) in its covers. As do other online bed mattress business, Saatva touts such extras as zoned layers for “optimal spinal column assistance”; we’re less impressed with those functions and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer support and durable foams and coils.
